The Day After (TDA) is a Syria NGO established in Turkey in 2012.
The organisation was founded by a group of Syrian opposition members in support of a democratic transition in Syria. Over the years, TDA has developed several programmes, two of which are related to Housing, Land, and Property rights (HLP) issues.
The first programme, entitled ‘Housing, Land, and Property rights (HLP)’, seeks to monitor the Syrian regime’s legislation on property rights and their implications for Syrian citizens; share the latest HLP-related news; and advise and inform representatives on how Syrian citizens can advocate for and protect their property rights. The second programme, entitled ‘Safeguarding Official Documents’, seeks to collaborate with lawyers and local communities to scan and safeguard official documents (among which property deeds) to facilitate the safe return of refugees and IDPs.
Nine Programmes:
-Supporting Survivors of Arbitrary Detention;
-Housing, Land, and Property rights (HLP);
-Supporting Communities Through TDA’s Communicators Team;
-Public Opinion Surveys Public Opinion Surveys;
-Peacebuilding and Reconciliation;
-Engaging Civil Society in Transition & Reform;
-Safeguarding Official Documents;
-Supporting Displaced Communities;
-Heritage Protection Initiative (HPI)
